37 weeks and started heparin at 36 weeks. I was on lovenox during my whole pregnancy up to this point due to a blood clotting disorder called APS (I’ve had two miscarriages back to back). Anyway, I’m kinda nervous about being on heparin ... they said to stop it the day before I go in to get induced and only take it that morning... but still, I worry about not clotting at all during childbirth. My ob also told me to stay on the baby aspirin which is another blood thinner. I’ll be getting an epidural and supposedly it’s safe even while on heparin since heparin leaves your body faster than lovenox. Anyone on lovenox and then heparin and still have a safe delivery?? What was your experience when switching to the heparin?
