On 7/11 we had our first egg retrieval and they got 11 eggs. The next day they called and said 7 eggs were mature and all 7 had been fertilized.

On day three all 7 were still growing normally and were rated good or intermediate, so we felt really good about our chances!

On day 5 I was surprised by the embryologist calling at 9:30 instead of late in the afternoon like they said. She told me that while we still had 5 embryos growing, none of them had become blastocysts to be frozen.

Today (day 6) the embryologist finally called at 4:30 to tell me the news — we only had ONE blastocyst make it to the freezer for PGD testing.

We are devastated at the thought of having to start over if things don’t work out this time. I’m trying to stay positive about our little babe on ice (who is a great 5bb!), but with our history of miscarriages I’m super nervous about the PGD results...

I’m in desperate need of success stories after ending up with only one blastocyst after <a href="https://glowing.com/glow-fertility-program">ivf</a>!!
