How do you night wean? / get your child to fall back to sleep in the night not on the boob?

At the end of my rope, need to night wean my 19 month old, how do you do it?

We did sleep training. I sent my husband to check on her after the 5 min or 10 or whatever you choose. Eventually she understood Mama wasn’t coming in there. I would get her first thing in the morning and fed her. It took a week or two but at 19 months there is no need for her to nurse at night.

My husband handles night wakings. I won’t nurse until after 5:30 a.m. and we are working on moving that forward.

Same boat with my 18 month old. No idea. 😭 nothing else will get him to sleep but the boob

We sleep trained. There is no physical reason why a child that old needs to eat at night, they’re just doing it for comfort. 
There are tons of methods of sleep training, so if I were you, I’d look into those and find one that agrees with your parenting principles.
