help!!!!!!

the past three days i've been experiencing extreme cramping immediately after my period. i have a really irregular cycle and i usually only get my period every two months. during my period i didn't have any cramps but the last day when it was basically just spotting these cramps begun and haven't gone away since. i've been taking advil like it's candy and using a hot and cold pad to try to help but nothings working. i can't sleep at night and now the pain is shooting down my legs as well... i've never experienced this before and it's almost to the point where i feel like i need to go to the hospital. if someone has experienced this or can maybe give me an idea of what it could be that'd be greatly appreciated (:
