Does it bother you when random people come up and touch your growing belly?

I went up to my school the other day and a random woman just put her hands on my belly. I wasn’t rude, but I was definitely surprised. This is my first baby and I didn’t think this would be a thing, but it is. 😳😳

I haven't had anyone other than my husband touch my belly. Quite frankly, I don't know why other people feel the need to.

Apparently, it’s not just bellies. A friend of mine has a four month old and they went to the farmer’s market this past weekend. An elderly woman walked straight up to her husband and basically grabbed their son out of his hands and was cooing over their child. She said she gave her the biggest death stare and she handed her child back. I think I would’ve gone to jail. I know people are just trying to be genuinely sweet (for the most part) because babies are blessings, but what gives people the right to just grab your child or touch your belly without asking? It’s weird and uncomfortable behavior.

With my second I had a few elderly women come up and touch my belly. Never experienced it with my first and hope I don't with this pregnancy

I wouldn’t mind family/friends just coming up and touching my belly but strangers are a no for me.

I’ve only had it happen a few times between 3 babies. It’s never been a total stranger but still, only someone I’ve met once or twice shouldn’t be touching my tummy without asking.

Omg I would flip out! I hate people even talking to me about it, I’m just a private  person and hate attention.

Doesn’t seem to bother me...I just think it’s a natural thing for some people. Babies & pregnancy are precious to some people. I would personally never touch a strangers belly but that’s just me lol I try not to let it bother me 😊

Fortunately, I haven’t had a stranger touch me. I wouldn’t be okay with it if they did, though. My family and in-laws know to ask me first because I have been super vocal about my feelings when it comes to being touched.

I’m not sure how I feel about it. It’s ok with me when my family and friends do it but with strangers it’s a bit different...
