Announcing Pregnancy?

Question

I was just wondering, when do you think is an appropriate time to tell the father of my first child (different than this baby’s) that I’m pregnant? We’re great at co-parenting but we always leave our personal lives out of it. Seeing that he will have to take her for around 3-4 days when I give birth, I will need to tell him eventually but I’m scared for his reaction.

I wait till im out of first trimester even 2nd lol. Last time i announced at 7 months. This time i will announce at 7 months again with name n everything. I hate having to deal with people's sorry then dealing with their feelings

My husband co-parents really well too. We did a tiered approach with my husband's ex-wife. We told her last year what we intended, then we told her when we told the kids so that the kids weren't the ones she found out from. She was upset when we told her our intent, but she was fine when we told her now. We decided to tell our kids earlier than we were originally going to because I've struggled with my clothes fitting and bloat. It was just causing more stress trying to hide it. So we actually told her last week at 8.5 wks.

In my opinion, the sooner the better, assuming you feel comfortable that you're out of the woods and the risks are low? I really hope he can take the news as a decent person and offer to help you out as you navigate this pregnancy and childbirth. Wishing you the very best and congratulations!!!
