Can quitting smoking cause late periods?

I quit smoking 2 months ago. My first period after quitting was 5 days late, which is pretty late for me but its happened before. But this month I am now 16 days late! This never happens! I've been testing every 2-3 days and keep getting BFNs. Could this be from the quitting smoking? I'm so frustrated!

I would say maybe. Quitting smoking is stressful and stress can mess with your period.

The SAME thing happened to me in march-April. I have a regular cycle 27-29 days and that month it was 36 days. I legit thought I was pregnant I got so excited but my period just came late. I asked the same question and googled but never got a straight answer so my guess is that it can cause a later period because maybe our hormones go back to normal after quitting?? Now my cycle went back to normal so idk.
