Not sure where to post this so sorry! Just need advice!

So I was pulling out of work and there was no cars coming so I waved to a kid that waved me to. (There’s another parking lot attached to my parking lot at work so I was basically pulling into another parking lot) I proceed to pull out and another car who was pulling into the parking lot proceeds to pull in but on my side of the parking lot. We hit each other, minor damage. Her license plate and a small scratch/ dent and some small scratches on my car. A police report was filed. I feel like we’re both at fault. I looked over for a second, but this could’ve been avoided if she would’ve pulled in on her side of the parking lot to pull in?
