Membranes sweeped

I am currently 39.4 today. I have been dialating for the pst 2 weeks & i am barely at 2 cm & 50% effaced. My dr decided to sweep my membranes earlier today. Anybody had this done & actually went into labor?? We are scheduling a same day induction at 40+1 this monday if he's not here by then
