Cervical hight

I ovulated about 12ish days ago. I checked my cervix yesterday and it was still high. Again today, but it's even higher. If I understand right, I thought my cervix was supposed to become low before my period, not stay up high. Anyone experienced this or know what it means? I also spotted a little yesterday and again today. But my period isnt till next week.
