My heart rate was averaging 120 beats per minute. It's fine for the babies but can be dangerous for you if you are predisposed to heart disease. I have a congenital heart disease so the fast heart rate was putting even more strain on my heart than necessary. Talk to your Dr. Mine decided to put me on meds to slow my heart rate. Your heart needs to circulate more blood but not necessarily faster. Good luck.

When you get pregnant your heart stays beating faster by default because the volume of blood in your body will go to 1.5 the normal amount because of the baby. So it’s normal to have a higher heart rate.

I have a heart condition called IST, inappropriate sinus tachycardia. My heart rate is always above 100, even when I’m sleeping. Usually it runs about 130-160 resting! I see a cardiologist and he said it’s absolutely no risk to baby at all. But if it’s not usual for you, you should get it checked out.
