My children are suppose to go over to my mother’s in law house tomorrow. I have an one year old and a one month old baby. My hubby’s family said to have them come over so they can watch them and SO and I can go on a date. I love his family but they’re not the cleanest. They don’t take care of their stuff. One big problem is they have bed bugs. They say they don’t have them anymore. SO’s brother had it so they threw out the bed but that’s all they did. They closed the room and are waiting to get a new bed. Their whole house has carpet. Before that they had to throw out the couch. My question is how do I prevent bringing them home? I’m thinking of stop bringing the diaper bag and bringing plastic bags so I can put it in the garbage. I shower them right after. What else can I do? Is there any scent anyone has used to keep them away? I have been so paranoid because we go over every week

Trust me if it wasn’t any other person’s home, I wouldn’t bring them. My SO just so close with his family. His mom wants to see the kids all the time. I much rather Go over than they come here. I feel like I have more control of preventing it.
