My doctor is a big fan of using the foley bulb method to ‘induce’ labor. Basically inserting a balloon in the vagina to dilate the cervix and on set contractions. I will be 39 weeks tomorrow, planning on getting the balloon inserted Monday at 4pm and then going in to the hospital Tuesday at 6am. (I know it is not common for women to go home after insertion but it’s worked well for my doctors practice.) Just wondering if any ladies are doing or have done this or have any further background knowledge, experiences or comments on the process. :)
