Breastfeeding...

I had my baby a few days ago and I am still in the hospital. This is my 3rd and last so I decided I was gonna try and breastfeed since I didn’t get too with my first two!. I had my BIL and his girlfriend come visit me earlier today and without thinking I whipped my boob out and started to breastfeed right in front of him (he has walked in on me breastfeed with my second when he came to visit after I had her but only for a second).

I looked up and realized I was being stared at by everyone cause I did it without saying everything and he turned away, his gf asked me to cover up so he wouldn’t look at me mind you she just had a baby 2 weeks ago and is breastfeeding as well. I said it was too hot (my hospital doesn’t believe in air conditioning) that I wasn’t gonna cover he can continue to look away. She didn’t like that response and said “I had the courtesy of covering when you and Nate came to visit me”.

I replied “ok? I didn’t ask you too, it’s not like nates never seen a boob before plus he wouldn’t have watched anyways you were feeding your child” after that they left without saying bye. I didn’t really care at that moment since she was being an asshole about it.

Was I wrong should I have covered out of respect? Did I react wrong?
