My boyfriend and I have been dating for 2 years. And his dad’s side of the family ( which he doesn’t talk to anymore) found out he is dating a minor. I’m 17 and he’s 19 turning 20 in December. We met my freshman year and his senior year, He’s my 1st boyfriend & I’m his 1st girlfriend. But we got a lot of crap from people saying we shouldn’t be together or that I was going to get him in trouble. My parents & family love my boyfriend and they’re happy to see that I’m happy. But his family doesn’t like me, especially his mom and now I’m guessing his dad’s side of the family doesn’t like me either. ( which they haven’t even met me, so doesn’t make since honestly🤦🏽‍♀️) I don’t know what to do because it’s aggravating and sad seeing that he is always getting hurt from his family and how negative they are towards him. But I don’t understand that when my boyfriends dad was 23 he got his mom pregnant at 16? So why are they giving us a hard time when me and my boyfriend are only 3 years apart.
