What would you do?

Okay, mommas. Last night I was playing with my daughter. She was giggling and it was adorable. Then all of a sudden she inhaled really loud, and for about 2-3 seconds she appeared to not be breathing. She then started coughing, so I knew she was breathing. It scared me so much! It happened so quickly and I was super worried. Well, my SO came home and I told him what she had done. He got ANGRY at me. Of course he didn’t tell me he was angry at first. He treated me like crap for a couple hours, then spilled the beans. He said it upset him that I told him what she had done. That it gave him extreme anxiety, and he didn’t know why I would ever bring that up. He said he was so worried now and if anything ever happened to her, he wouldn’t be able to live.

I apologized for causing anxiety, but explained it felt like something I should share. If it happened while he was with her and he told me and I said, “Oh yeah, she did that the other day.” He would probably be like, “Why didn’t you tell me?!” Plus if it happened again I would be concerned and suspect a pattern.

He went to bed angry with me, and I just don’t think it’s fair. I can’t keep important information from him for fear of causing anxiety, that is stupid. And I was scared too, why can’t I share that with him and get support in return?
