So my fiance and I have decided that we dont want to tell our families the baby is here until after shes born. My fiance would be ok telling people an induction date (i will likely be induced) but i am against even that as i think people will just show up to the hospital. this is my first baby and im not the most pleasant person while im in pain so i dont want people

coming in and out while im in labor. we told both sides of the family this last night and their reactions looked like i just told them i shot their dogs or something.

i didnt even get to the point of saying we want hospital visits to be short and sweet as well. ill

be trying to breastfeed for the first time

and dont want to be uncomfortable

with visitors right after giving birth. how are you gals dealing with this?? my parents live an hour away as well so my moms reaction was “well thats not fair cause it will take me longer to get there”. i dont want to be unfair and have my fiances family meet the baby first.

im also nervous that people will get there and ill have to breastfeed and immediately turn them away. i might get more comfortable as breastfeeding goes on...but i have a very large chest and know i wont be immediately comfortable with people in the room.
