Shopping cart seat?

My baby is 7 months & I was wondering if he'd be able to sit in the seat of a shopping cart? He can sit up on his own.

I'm sure he could, they're pretty big spaces though. I'd bring a blanket to help him sit and be comfortable.

Is he can sit up on his own he should be fine. I put my daughter sitting in shopping carts at 5.5 months.
