Letrozole even if ovulating?

Question

I am about to start taking Letrozole 5mg for 5 days. I do ovulate, so I really don’t understand why my doctor is putting me on it. I just did my first IUI, and of course it failed. Didn’t take any medication for that one. And this is probably going to help me for my second IUI. I just thought Letrozole is supposed to help you ovulate, but I do. I am confused 🤷‍♀️

I ovulate on my own and am trying a few cycles with letrozole. My dr said it was just a bit of a “boost”

Same for me Luna. I have unexplained secondary fertility. Over 3 years of trying, had my first failed iui, on my 2nd cycle with 5 mg letrozole for 5 nights, then ovidrel shot (even though i ovulate). So upsetting, but hopefully this works to complete our family. Good luck to ya!
