Is there a surge of LH only when ovulating or also with pregnancy?

Just curious... I saw where someone posted about how they took an ovulation test on accident which in turn led them to take a pregnancy test ...didnt know if it was a thing or not lol

Yes but ovulation strip also gets dark before period so just take a pregnancy test

Hcg and lh molecularly are very similar so it’s possible for lh strip to be very positive when pregnant.

I bought the combo OPK/HCG strip tests from Amazon. I have confirmed my pregnancy with both the strip and FRER but since I’ve become obsessed with POAS I took an OPK today and it was blazing - almost no color in the control line. I’m around 5 weeks pregnant. Moral of the story - don’t use OPK to test for pregnancy, but if ya have some lying around after confirming pregnancy, go ahead and pee on that thing lol. Apparently they can’t differentiate between LH and HCG
