So for a little background I haven’t spoken to this girl since MIDDLE SCHOOL. Our friendship did not continue in high school, college, ect. So she found out she’s due in February. I originally was super happy and excited for her when she told me she was pregnant because ...YAY pregnancy!

Then it got weird . She asked me to come to her gender reveal. I moved out of state and live in Georgia. So I said no. Then she tried again for her baby shower which would be around the time my baby girl is a 6 weeks old..... tried to explain how it doesn’t make since to drive 8+ hours with a newborn.

Still kinda weird for me because it’s not like she’s trying to make us friends again- like it’s literally just about HER BABY. Then she shared with me before she shared with anyone else and honestly I didn’t know how to respond. Now she’s asking when I’m due/ is the baby here yet.

I feel socially awkward in this situation because it’s just her telling me about her baby and me answering 25% of the time and then her asking about my baby.

Like I tried to talk to her about other things in previous messages to see if we could be friends again and she literally shut those down and brought it back to the baby.

My husband said just take her off of Facebook but that seems extreme.
