thinking of becoming a mortician instead of nurse
All of my high school career i worked towards becoming a nurse. I took extra science classes and volunteered in hospitals and other medical facilities. Over the summer I have lost my passion for that career.
I think of what I’m aiming for (labor and delivery nurse) and I seriously want to do it, but with nursing you have to work in places you don’t want to in order to earn your spot as a l&d nurse since it is competitive. Along with that you have to work night shift for quite some time.
I currently work in a funeral home and I also did clinicals here through a high school class and saw a full embalming. I’ve been feeling very passionate about this field and want to change my major.
I’m not jumping to do it because i’ve been set on nursing for four years and if I do change my mind again that’s a lot of dealing with my colleges crap.
I really need some incite on what I should do and if there are any morticians on here then what classes they took and how was the mortuary program experience
