i’ve been looking on the internet because i have two tiny sores on the roof of my mouth. i read that it could be hiv do you guys think this is the case i had sex about 4 weeks ago. it does hurt to swallow.

No girl. You just have sores. They don't mean anything. Every little imperfection on your body isn't going to kill you

Some ER's offer a rapid HIV test, just pricking your finger and it will show up either positive or negative. I suggest talking to a dr though and asking them to test you for HIV if you are concerned  about contracting it. It would be wise also , in the future to be mindful of not only who you sleep with but also protecting yourself in the process

I would think HIV /AIDS in very advanced staged would cause sores... not 4 weeks after sex.

You are concerned with having something as serious as HIV and so you post on this app for advice?! Go to a damn doctor!

You could have apthous ulcer, hand foot and mouth, strep throat etc. Unlikely that you have HIV

Just go get tested. You can get tested at planned parenthood for free. Or most likely at your college if you’re in college. Or any health center.

I get canker sores up there that look identical to that. If you’re worried go to your doctor and get tested but that just looks like a sore

Probably not, but if your sexually active or could be exposed to hiv in another way, you should be getting tested regularly anyway.
