What does a high, firm and slightly open cervix position mean? Could it mean I’m close to my period?

Answer

Just like cervical mucus, your cervix by itself does not mean much. You have to track your temperatures with it to understand your cycle fully.
But with that said	, the general rule is:
During your fertile time: High, soft and open. This is for sperm ejaculated at the top of your vagina to have the shortest path to your uterus.
During your period: firm and low (and slightly open to let out your flow). This is to get the shortest path from your cervix opening to the outside so that your flow exits your vagina quickly.
