Waiting to tell?

Question

So is anyone else waiting till there in their second trimester to tell people? My mom n dh know but that's about it. I hate keeping this a secret though. I'm so happy to be pregnant but my mom keeps telling me to wait incase anything happens..... Any advice?

I am 4 weeks and we told our parents and my best friend. I figured if I do miscarry those are the people I would talk to about it anyways. So no harm in telling them early. But we are waiting until 2nd trimester to tell the rest of our family and friends :)

I'm telling the people who I will want to cry with if something goes wrong. But people that I wouldn't want to have to tell about a miscarriage, I'm not telling about the pregnancy. I'll probably tell more people after my first appointment at ten weeks and not make it "public" until second trimester. I'm so afraid that something is going to go wrong.. :-/

I am waiting. Just my husband knows right now, we are waiting until the second trimester to tell family and friends. My thought is that if I tell people I am pregnant then miscarry I will have to go back and tell all of those people about it- I am a private person and do not like sharing that stuff!

Second baby... Trying to wait to tell till around 18 weeks but probably will only make it to 16. We live by tons of family and friends, so this time my husband and I just want a little fun secret to ourselves for awhile! ;) it's exciting and feels unreal!

We are waiting, only my husband and both of our bosses know incase of an emergency, it's easier to ask off when everything is honest and open! We are telling parents at 10 weeks, because that's when our first ultrasound is.. Probably making it public 2nd trimester though.

It is a personal preference really. Tell whoever you want. I told a few close people and relatives because I just had to. There was no keeping it. Especially since a couple of them already knew I thought I might be. They asked about it so I told them I was! The main worry is miscarriage. Usually they say 12 weeks is the "safe zone". But then again anytime after that there still could be things that go wrong. That's life. If you're worried about having to repeat your loss to people you have told, thats why you ask someone close to you to tell them the news so you don't have to keep experiencing the upsetting news over and over and listen to apologies. We plan to announce this weekend-which is the end up my 9 weeks and start of my 10th. I figured I would hold up for as long as I can hold out on "showing" and symptoms. I can be very gaggy and I have snacks covering my desk. Plus I am starting to get a little muffintop with the pants I am wearing.

We can't wait and are counting down to be able to tell people, but we've decided to wait for the 12w scan. We have told a few close friends that we'd tell if something went wrong. I even lied to my boss and told her the round of IVF we did in July didn't work because she can't keep a secret and we didn't want to tell them until after 12w.

​It's a personal choice but a friend told everyone at about 4w and sadly MC so had to untell everyone. I don't want to deal with that so we'll wait. While I'm not super worried as we've had a scan and seen the heartbeat, there is a worry in the back of my mind.

We told a couple close friends almost immediately at 4ish weeks. Those were the friends we'd want to lean on if anything were to happen. We waited to tell our parents and siblings  ntil 6 weeks (this past weekend). Now we're waiting until the first ultrasound at 10 weeks to tell the rest of the family (grandparents, aunts, uncles), and other friends. Facebook will find out when we hit the second trimester. I cannot wait for that first ultrasound!!!!

I wanted to wait but my hubby and our families were so excited they didn't want to. So we told as soon as we found out, and I don't regret it now! I'm 9w3d!
