To be or not to be ??

So I’ve been liking this guy for awhile and recently he just came back in town for from where he’s stationed on leave. Fast forward we ended up having sex sooo I lost my virginity to him. Mind you I’ve been liking him for awhile before this happened, and I’m having mixed feelings bc I wanna be his gf but at the same time maybe it’s like the whole sex thing talking.... and I feel like if he felt the same way he would put in effort or be straight about it to me if he see me as more then just a friend. I just don’t wanna come off like desperate if I ask him or whatever; what do you guys think?
