Miserable daughter

I recently switched my daughter’s daycare. She’s 22 months. She’s generally shy/nervous in new surroundings so I expected some uncomfortableness and adjusting to happen but I’m beginning to get concerned. Last week was her first week & each day she was sitting by herself watching other children play when I picked her up. One of the days one of the teachers said she’s very grumpy (I didn’t like that bc you don’t know my child well enough to say that. As someone who works with children you should understand she may be scared, nervous etc NOT grumpy ). I’m worried that the teachers aren’t making a true effort to learn my daughter & make her feel included/comforted. Each time I ask how her day was they just say “she’s fine she needs to adjust” which I know that. I’m wanting to know if she played, laughed, talked etc.

I know they can’t give her all the attention but my gut is telling me that they just aren’t making a true effort to help her adjust, just letting her go thru the motions of the day. This is really bothering me & I feel extremely sad for my sweet sweet baby. What should I do?
