Confused?

So I ovulated 7-8 days ago 
So I thought why not see if first response would pick it up. Now this is where I’m getting confused
Pregnancy test negative 
Ovulation test positive?
HELP

If it’s positive due to pregnancy it shows on a pregnancy test as well. You may have had a LH surge earlier but didn’t ovulate and now you are surging again

It is possible for ovulation tests to be positive if you are pregnant, since they can’t discriminate between LH and HCG, but it is also possible that you are having a second LH surge before your period, or that your body tried to ovulate, failed, and is trying again.
