Leaving baby overnight?

It's my fiance birthday next weekend and our boy will be exactly 1 month old. We were thinking of having drinks and going out and leaving him with my parents overnight but i hate the thought of leaving him that long! Is it okay to leave a baby that young overnight with someone else?

My boyfriends mom asked to watch my daughter when she was 1 week old. I was so sleep deprived but so nervous to leave her when she was that little. I ended up doing it  and cried the whole way home lol. It was a huge help though and I got around 9 hours of sleep that night. My daughter is now 3 weeks old and for the past 3 Saturday nights, my boyfriend's mom has kept her. His family doesn't get to see her during the week and this is their first grandchild so letting them have her one night and giving me that chance to catch up on sleep is a win win situation for me.

Don't feel bad!! You both need to get out every once in a while!! As long as your parents are ok with it, why not?!?! Go have a great time!!!

Yes that's perfectly ok. And your parents will be great babysitters. 
My baby stayed 10 days in the hospital when he was first born.
