Are FRER digitals reliable a few days before a period?

I’m around 11 dpo and it’s the only one I had at home, I took it cuz it’s my anniversary with my husband and we are gonna go for dinner and drinks.. on top of it I plan on eating a lot of seafood lol so I just wanted to make sure.

Anyway it came back negative, which sucks, but are they really reliable since it’s not time for my period yet?

I know a lot of girls say that all digitals take more HCG.. anyway idk if I have false hope or whatever but just asking for opinions
