What medicine can I take?

Question

I believe I have a sinus infection. What OTC medicines can I take? 
I can’t go to the doctor right now. I’m 8w&6d. 
Please, my face hurts, I have a sore throat & ive been having yellow mucus

Mucinex - I did when I was pregnant and it helped when I got sick really bad.
But maybe call the doctors office first to confirm- always best to check.

Mucinex and Benadryl are safe. My doctor’s  list of OTC medications says Sudafed is safe after 12 weeks, but should be avoided before then. 
But honestly the best thing for a sinus infection is to get a saline nasal rinse bottle and flush everything out. Mine is an Ayr brand kit that came with 50 saline packets, plus the bottle, for about $15. You can order one on amazon or pick it up today at a drugstore. Some people prefer a netti pot, but I find the squeeze bottle easier to use. 
Both my husband and I tend to get sinus infections if we get a cold, but neither of us has needed antibiotics since he got the saline rinse kit. I usually feel immediately better if I do it before bed because i can breathe and I sleep better. And after two-three days of flushing all the mucus and everything out, the infection is gone. Without all the mucus and blockage, your immune system can get in and fight the remaining infection.

You can take mucinex DM for the symptoms and Benadryl if you need the help getting to sleep because of the sinuses. My doctor just told me a few days ago at my appointment that Benadryl is safe to take. 😊

You have to wait out the infection. You can take Mucinex, Sudafed (not Sudafed PE), and Tylenol to treat your symptoms.
