Would you stay with someone if you wanted marriage but they didn’t?

I’ve just had my first baby, he’s 4 months old. Me and my partner have just been talking about marriage and it’s something I want in my life but he doesn’t want it as he doesn’t see the point in it. Bare in mind he’s been engaged in the past. 
It’s something I really want in life but he’s saying he really doesn’t but he’ll do it just to keep me happy.

I would probably stay. If I liked this person enough to start a family, then I wouldn't leave over the lack of a wedding.

The point is security and stability. If something were to happen to either of you it provides protection insurance wise and gives you a say in eithers estate. 
It’s a huge commitment in the eyes of the law and has many benefits. It’s something that 100% should have been discussed prior to baby but shit happens. 
I’m not saying you should or need marriage, but there is a point to it.

I would stay if i’m in a happy relationship. Where i’m from a lot of people don’t get married or do it later in life.  
If it was about having kids then I would leave.

I can’t see the big fuss in getting married if am honest like I’ve been with my so for 14 years we have a 13 yr old daughter and 4 month old son we have the house we have the family we ain’t fussed on the wedding I’d rather spend the money on family holidays

My partner never really wanted to get married, and we'd both had particularly rough relationships before we got together. When I first found out he didn't want to get married I was a little dubious about continuing the relationship. I gave it a little bit of thought, and came to the realisation that I loved him more than the idea of my dream wedding. Yeah, it would be great, but either way I'd be spending the rest of my life with him. Then we moved in with each other, and shortly after I got pregnant with our first. Just over a year after we found out we were expecting (our first was 4 months old) we got engaged. Our first is now 4, and we also have our 4 month old March baby (born on my partners birthday!), and my partner decided he wanted to start planning our wedding for April - so he went from not wanting to get married at all, to wanting to get it done as soon as possible while still giving ourselves enough time to save for it.

If he's ok with it either way, and you really want it, why not just do a small wedding or a city hall thing.

maybe down the road hell change his mind. To me, having kids is way more important than having a wedding. 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️
I would rather have children, than be married. 
It's not the biggest deal, to me.
