Tears?

Question

How many women are currently going through the healing of tears during labor? I have a first degree tear and my daughter is a day away from being a week and this shit still burns like hell 😩... the recovery time varies but I’m really ready for the burning to subside so that I can feel more comfortable... who else is going through it?

Girl get Tucks they’re cooking wipes with witch hazel and I wish I would have done this with my first pregnancy. I didn’t tear this time thankfully but I did with my first son. Also if you don’t have it there is a cooling numbing spray that helps a ton too.

I had a second degree last year and third degree this year. I’m healing better this time with a third degree than I did last time. Definitely use some sort of witch hazel spray.

I had a 3rd degree tear with my first and thankfully only a 2nd degree tear with this one.  I didn't sit straight for 6 weeks with the 3rd degree.  I feel fine already 1 week postpartum this time. I was told squirt bottle after every trip to the bathroom for 4 weeks- the length of time for the sutures to dissolve. That way you don't have to wipe, just dab to dry. Tucks wipes are great too.

I had a first degree tear that required only a few stitches. I use the peri bottle to squirt cold water literally the entire time I’m peeing so I don’t feel it. The salt in your urine is what burns. So also make sure you drink a ton of water as well because it will lower the salt level. But squirt that water the entire time and I promise it’ll help. I also had relief from using the witch hazel tucks pads along with the dermoplast spray which numbs everything down there. Hope this helps!

2nd degree tear here 🙋‍♀️ with my smallest baby, too 🤦‍♀️ I had first degree tears with my other 2 kids. It's not too bad, I think I'm mostly just scared I'll rip one open so I'm like overly insanely cautious down there 😂

🙋🏼‍♀️ I had an episiotomy, third degree, performed. I’m just over two weeks out and still have some discomfort. The swelling/pulsing pain shifted to stinging/burning pain over the last two weeks. Now I find I’m only in pain in relation to bowel movements and if I over exert myself. Tucks pads and using a spray bottle before urination were the two things that provided the most relief! Take it easy and remember to take stool softeners!

I got a 2nd degree tear again and a small tear on my labia and im terrified to even look down there lol. Im now 2 weeks post partum and I still have some discomfort here and there but its mostly better!
