Pre-marital counseling/army

Married ladies, did pre-marital counseling help you? My fiancé is in the military and he’s about 4 hours away, so it would be difficult to do. To me, I feel like it’s important to have some sort of counseling. While he’s stressed over things at work, I honestly don’t know how we’ll make it happen.
