I don’t know how to tell he really likes me? Help please !?

So my main problem is I have been lied to many times before and the dude I’m with now is really sweet most of the time and sometimes I feel like he really likes me and others i don’t and part of my problem also is we have dated before but he just up and decided he didn’t like me one day so I’m scared it will happen again how do I know he really likes me and isn’t leading me on

Ask him about the situation when he left you. See how full motive behind it and communicate how it made you feel as well. If he’s not willing to explain that the goal isn’t to get to that place again with you then i say you break it off before things CAN go wrong again. If he cares about you he will communicate and listen, and not only that but he will make a clear effort.
