Have you ever gone on a cruise?

My boyfriend and I are thinking about going on a cruise to celebrate my graduation next May. I would love to hear experiences if you've done it! Where did you go, how long, and did you do stuff off the boat at the destinations? I want to know everything, it's so confusing!

I went on a cruise to the Bahamas with my dance group when I was about 13/14 and it was AMAZING. We were gone a total of 5 days, we went to Nassau and Freeport and I plan on going on another cruise once my daughter gets here and is old enough. Only thing we did besides shop around and stuff was go to a flamingo sight in Nassau which was a pretty amazing experience, then went to the beach.. The ocean was crystal clear and so beautiful. Just keep in mind if you want to purchase things while you’re there it will be pretty expensive just because it’s a tourist destination. I paid $9 for a bottle of water. 😣😂 Just keep in mind that you have to be careful while traveling, never get in a car with someone that isn’t a certified taxi driver or bus drive. We had a guy come up to us saying he could get us in Atlantis for free and we would only have to give him $20 for taking us there and when we said no he got in the car and slammed the door and took off.. keep in mind he wasn’t even really a taxi driver or anything. Stay alert, stay safe and have fun. Its an amazing experience. The boat itself if a blast. We went through carnival cruise and it had a mall on it and a water park. There was also several night clubs, which obviously I didn’t go to because I was too young lol.

Maybe bring some board games for you and him to do by the pool because the travel days can get a little boring. Bring motion sickness medication even if you think you won’t need it. I had a terrible headache the whole time I was on a cruise and didn’t put it together that it was from the motion until the very last day and I’d never been sea sick or gotten motion sickness before that.
