4d scans a normal thing?

Does everyone get a 4d scan or is it something you pay extra for? My SO and I don’t wish to have a 4d scan in our pregnancies unless there was a major issue that needed it to be done.

It wasn't part of my routine ultrasounds for my first pregnancy. My doctor office offered them as an optional extra scan that you had to pay for out of pocket.

They’re usually private. I get mine towards the end (28-34ish weeks). They’re just better photos then 2D, nothing you’d need to avoid lmao

4D is private only that you pay extra for. Hospitals just use 2D for mandatory scans

4D are more to capture movements and how they look. They can also be done for gender. Depending on where you live they also vary in price
