I went in today, bright and early for my 11 week checkup. We went through the usual routine of the weight check and urine sample and both came back normal. Then things got nerve wracking. The nurse was sent in before my OB as usual, took my BP and proceeded to find my babies heartbeat with the doppler. No luck. So they sent me back with another NP to the ultrasound room. She did a abdominal ultrasound and still no luck. So they bring in the big guns. The OB himself and he also does a abdominal ultrasound and finds the baby no problem in under two seconds. We have a very active baby measuring 10+6 days , which is only a day behind my 11 week measurement and a 162 heartrate ❤ Scary but so relived.
