Respect???

Question

How many of you ladies, married or not and out of respect, ask your SOs if it's ok with them if you do something or go somewhere that you know they wouldn't enjoy with you?

i don't necessarily ask him if it's ok , but i ALWAYS tell my husband where i am or where im going.

Asking permission seems controlling but letting him know where I am in case of emergency is different.

I always tell him what my plans are and let him know that I will be ok and can handle myself and will call when I get there and call when i'm leaving

I don't ask for permission. But I always let my husband know what I am doing. He always does the same.

I would say it depends on your relationship. My husband doesn't drink I used to. Every time I would go out with my friends it was a big deal, he didn't want me drinking, going out to late ect. So you know it it's going to cause  trouble. I stop the worth the time. And my marriage it's better.

I don't ask my husband if it's okay for anything. I just tell him my plans and he'll say okay or he'll say his opinion. Just like he does the same to me.

I don't ask him per say. But I do ask him if it's gonna upset him if I go somewhere. Like somewhere I'm gonna end up spending money. He has never said no or indicated he didn't like it. But I always ask him cause then I get to decide if it's worth the argument that could potentially arise. He asks me the same question whenever he does something.

I'm gonna say yea sometimes. Like work happy hours. He doesn't enjoy that because all we talk about is work and that's boring to him. I don't necessarily ask permission, but out of respect I let him know what I'm doing.
