Medical Assistant online?

Question

Has anyone gotten a medical assistant certificate from an online school? I am working, my husband is working and going to school, and we have a 5 year old so I need it to be mostly online except the clinical part of course. I also will need financial aid to help me pay for it. If you guys have ever done one please let me know!

Yeah they pay shit.... And the hands on classes are beneficial.

I don't think I would recommend online school. I would look for an in person school because trying to find a place to train you hands on is very difficult. I've been an MA for 12 years, and I taught MAs for about 2yrs. Hands on is the way to go. Maybe Pima or Everest, I think it's something else now. I get paid twice what minimum wage is and I work part time. I also have certifications in LSRT, IV, casting, and billing. I always try to learn more at each job I go to so I have more skills that Doctors would look for.

Honestly, the pay is not worth the time spent. If you can find something else, I encourage that. Been a MA since 2012
