This is my second baby, but the first time testing positive for group B strep, my question is what happens if labor progresses too quickly and I don’t have time to get all of my antibiotics 4 hours before delivering ?

My reason for asking that is with my son after my water broke there was only a 4 hour stretch until he was out of me and I’m afraid things may go faster this time !

Regardless of how likely or unlikely I’m just asking what will happen if there isn’t enough time for me to get them 4 hours before ?

And yes I plan on asking my doctor at my appointment Wednesday!
