I have a cousin, who is 50, that has never married nor had children. She is a wonderful and generous person, always supporting everyone in the family through bridal showers, baby showers, etc. An aunt of mine (not her mother) asked for my advice about throwing a “shower” in honor of her. A ladies only event, with small sandwiches like a shower, but a day all for honoring her. What do you think? Is it appropriate? What do you call it? Do you still shower her with gifts? Etc.
