Doctors Appointments 😣

Hey y’all,

Quick question... it’s been 11 years since my last pregnancy so I’m a little out of the loop when it comes to what to expect at doctors appointments. How often is your doctor checking dilation? I was 1.5-2cm dilated about 3 weeks ago and my doctor hasn’t checked since then. She said she won’t until I’m in labor because if she does, it could cause me to go into labor and if my baby comes early since it’s a boy, He’ll have medical complications because “boys don’t do well when they come early and they are too lazy to breast feed”. This just seemed like a very, very strange thing for her to say in general- I know lots of people who have had perfectly healthy boys a few weeks early that did great at breast feeding and are thriving. I’m 37 weeks and I dread going to the doctors every week because she’s very passive aggressive and almost annoyed when I ask any questions. Anyway, is anyone else’s doctor not checking dilation? -just looking for some confirmation that everything is happening the way it should.
