I really really need help. If you have knowledge about anything I’m going to mention, pls speak up!

I am 18 years old. I am currently engaged to an amazing guy, he’s 18 as well. My fiancée will he shipping off to basic in less than a month. Now here comes were you can help me: I have been on the IUD since November 2018. So it’s been a couple of months now, almost a year. The IUD has started to give me problems:

1. Nonstop cramps

2. Throwing up

3. Yeast infections (got it taken care of)

4. Has made my periods longer, more painful, and irregular (before the IUD my period was short, not always painful, and was regular)

5. More pain

And so many more things.

This problems didn’t start right now. They started a little bit after I got the IUD. I have a doctors appointment coming up and I know I want my IUD taken out. But I don’t know if I want to go to a different birth control now (before I start college and after my fiancée leaves or maybe before he leaves), or get my IUD taken out but not start birth control for a while. What should I do?!
