Do you think it’s possible to have a godly romantic relationship with someone if the same sex? I would love to hear your reasoning

After struggling for so many years with this question and praying and meditating on scripture, I’ve come to my own conclusion. I don’t believe that the Bible says anything about homosexuality as a sexual orientation that can foster healthy and godly relationships. Every time it is mentioned, it’s in the context of rape, pedophilia, or pagan ritual; or the translations vary so much between versions and languages (I read the Bible in 5 languages to better interpret). I just want to see the general consensus

The bible is very clear about how God defines a marriage. Every verse that talks about marriage talks about a man and a woman.  "A man will leave his father and stick to his wife and they must become one flesh." Genesis 2:24 In Matthew 19 Jesus is talking to the pharisees and he quotes this verse in Genesis saying Have you not read that the One who created them from the beginning made them male and female. Ephesians 5 22-33 also makes it very clear that a marriage is between a man and a woman. 1 Timothy said that leaders of a church must be a husband of one wife. 
Jesus never discussed same sex marriage because the way He defined marriage already excluded it.

Nothing in the bible contradicts itself. If it says that a man and a woman should leave their parents and be one. That was what God created. Man with woman. As there are other verses that call a man being w a man and a woman being w a woman is not Gods design. Ofcourse ppl can come to their own thoughts but the bible is concrete about this topic.

Romans 1:26-32 talks about how they started changing the “natural sexual relations for the unnatural ones” in Genesis it talks about the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah.. it explains how this people wanted to rape the angels God had sent to save Lot and his family. Lot even offered them his virgin daughters so they could do with them how they pleased but to leave these two men alone. They didn’t stop and God blinded all the people. Now people make it seem normal, but the Bible is the map to heaven. If we don’t live by it we are heading in the wrong direction. We can’t expect the Bible to change for us or cover our actions, WE must follow the Bible if we want to be saved. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, and this is mine.

Mind your damn business and keep your opinions out of other people's lives. 🤷🏻‍♀️ The Bible is an interpretation of stories that are supposed to provide meaning to life, not to be taken literally. Religion isn't there to dictate the lives of the people, but to simply provide sanctity and guidance. If someone finds love, happiness, security, and respect in a relationship with someone of the same sex.... let them be. They are loving life with the same values as you and everyone else.

I believe a same-sex couple can be religious. I believe marriage was created for a man and a woman, but I believe there are men who believe they love men and women who believe they love women. Those people can and should also love and honor God, even if their relationship isn’t perfect in God’s eyes. Nobody’s is. Gay people are still loved by God. They should be loved by other Christians too, even if their relationship is deemed sinful. Man/woman relationships are also deemed sinful when they cheat or lie or have premarital sex and there are PLENTY of religious couples who have done one or multiple of the above sins and Jesus still loves them and they still are a religious couple. Everyone sins and everyone should pray for themselves and for others.

The feelings are natural, they are a temptation just like lying, stealing, jealousy, gluttony, ect. You will be tempted with many things, but you don’t have to do it. It’s always a choice. 
I have crushed on girls before so I’m not just some rando that has no idea how strong a same sex crush can be. It’s frustrating, but you are still responsible for your actions.

The Bible specifically says that we are made to be in a sexual relationship with those of the opposite sex. Now, that does not mean he won’t forgive those who have been in a relationship with the same sex in the past, but as a Christian I don’t think you should be in a relationship with the same sex. Please don’t think I’m judging, I’m just stating my own opinion and answering the question in my opinion... 😬❤️

The Bible says that homosexuality is a sin. You cannot be a Christian and actively be in a same sex relationship. There is no such thing as a “godly” same sex relationship bc such a relationship is not godly. To be a Christian is to repent of your sin and turn away from it and strive for righteousness even if you fail sometimes
