I’ve been on the pill since I started my period around age 11/12 I’m not sure exactly. I’m now 19 so I’ve been on it for some time now. I think it’s just the generic pill nothing special to it. I had a 28 day Pill set and I took week 4 as well so I did get my periods.

I’ve heard that stopping the pill can return your fertility quickly and you’ll start ovulating again within 3 months. Now, there’s been times when I’ve messed up my cycle because I would wake up late on the weekend or accidentally miss a pill and I’d restart my period even if I just had it. The pill has been purely for control of period symptoms the entire time I’ve been on it.

Recently I’ve been thinking about coming off of it because I’ve been on it for so long. It’s cycle day 14 and Glow said I was going to supposedly ovulate July 26th. I have it set to using to no bc so I can see if I were to ovulate because I mess up the pill sometimes 😂 its probably so late after day 14 because I just rejoined Glow after time off of the app. Anyway...

I’ve been off of the pill for 3 days and I got my period today. So this has reset my cycle to day number 1 and I’m assuming I still won’t ovulate? I knew it was a low chance because I stopped mid cycle but now it’ll reset to day 14ish again correct?

Also, what are your experiences with regaining fertility after stopping the pill?

I used to check my mucus and firmness but it was always the same because of the pill so I’m not sure how big the differences are between height and firmness of the cervix and was wondering if someone could maybe tell me a little about it :)
