Do you usually have a 12 week ultrasound?

I had my first ultrasound around 7 weeks and have my first OB appt. a week from Thursday. I’ll be almost 10 weeks at that point. 
I know all doctors are different - just was curious if this is the norm!

Nope. My first my doctor did ultrasounds every visit. My second I had a dating scan at 6 weeks then didn't have another scan until 20 weeks.

Just around 8 weeks and anatomy scan at 20 weeks. That’s all my doctor does unless you opt for additional testing or there are special circumstances/concerns.

In Australia - YES 
Dating scan , 12 week scan and 20 week scan.
Then if you are a private patient and your Ob has the scanner he will do it every visit to check baby. At 12 weeks there checking for Down syndrome

My first scan was at 7 weeks, second scan at 9. Everything looked really good! Now i dont have a scan till 20 weeks 🤷🏼‍♀️ but think i will book an extra gender scan at 15

I had three early in my pregnancy (6,7 and 9 weeks) because I had a hematoma. My next ultrasound is at 18 weeks.

Im getting an ultrasound at 12 weeks for the purpose of a Down syndrome screening. I wouldn’t be getting if I didn’t want to screen. 🤷🏼‍♀️

Had my dating scan at 9 weeks and won’t have another until the anatomy scan at 20 weeks

I was curious about this too, because I had my first appt early on too & have another appt at 12+6. I was wondering if it was an ultrasound, I dont believe they said! Lol 
I'm really hoping it is!
