Induction 39 weeks
Hello all :) I’m not one to write long posts but I know it’s nice to read these stories while waiting for your bundle of joy to arrive! So here goes.
I was due July 21st with my 3rd baby and was having so many Braxton hicks starting in trimester two just continuing to get more frequent and intense the closer I got to my due date. When I went in at 38 weeks I was 3 centimeters dilated started losing chunks of mucus plug. Baby had dropped real low at about 37 weeks but he didn’t come on his own. Due to measuring very large I went to be induced on Sunday the 14th around 11. They checked me I was a 3 1/2 to 4 centimeters so they started pitocin and IV fluids. It was the easiest labor out of the three. I had some mild cramping and contractions all day until 12:00 am. I mostly sat in the hospital bed bc I had guests and the gown does not cover your butt lol i also bounced on the peanut ball. My family came by and visited with me all day. It only felt like I was having Braxton Hicks with medium period cramps. I was able to visit and socialize until about 12:30am they started getting pretty intense. All the family left and I had to breath through them. I was checked again and at 4 in a half centimeters so they suggested breaking my water. I got the epidural before that which took about an hour from the time I asked for it. They broke my water and I slept. Woke up around 5:30 they checked me and I was at a 9. They said to let them know when I felt a lot of pressure. I felt some and did a couple little pushes with no one in the room. I quickly realized his head was just about out. Oops! I called them in and his head was right there. I pushed once and then he just delivered himself.
