3rd trimester blood draw?

Is anyone else getting this? I had my blood drawn in the first trimester for routine bloodwork, and then again at 12 weeks for genetic testing. Of course I also had blood draws for the glucose testing. But my doctor is sending me to a lab for more testing and idk why..? Is this standard? This is my 3rd and I’ve never had so many blood draws. 🙃

I believe it is standard. I have another blood draw I’m supposed to do. I believe they check to see if you are anemic since that’s very common in the 3rd trimester. It should be the final one though 😊

Thanks everyone! Just wasn’t sure. This doctor is so much more in depth than my last one- he was a “natural doctor” and didn’t even prescribe birth control, so I switched so I could get my tubes tied. It’s like an entire new experience with a doctor who actually does things the normal way!

I also had one. It is standard, track hemoglobin especially ect.

I’d just ask your doctor if you’re concerned. I will do it as I just do whatever my doctor tells me to. It’s better to do the test and they find nothing than to miss something by not doing the test.

I had one on Monday when I was 28 weeks so believe it's normal, I've got to have my Anti-D injection on Friday so not looking forward to that again it's the major thing about being pregnant that I hate 😔 x

3 isn’t excessive. It could be to check your blood type. 
I’ve had about 20 blood tests since pregnant 🙈
