This year will be my first year for high school and I know that some kids do have sex and are going to be sexually active. I am not currently sexually active at this moment, but who knows, I might be this upcoming year. I want to start “the pill”. My mom tells me all the time that if something is going to happen (when the time has come for me to be sexually active) then let her know so we can prevent the effect (which is pregnancy). I’m only 14, I will be 15 in December. I don’t want to seem like I’m trying to have sex too early because trust me, I’m not ready, but you never know, especially with all of these hormones and boys boys boys (the smart & cute ones, maybe even a bad boy). How can I tell my mom that I want to start “the pill” even though I’m not having sex.
